HOW TO USE THE CHORD LIBRARY

This is an interactive library of popular open and barre chords. There are lots of ways to play the same chord. Here, I have presented the most usable shapes that I personally use on a daily basis.

You can search chords by name and type. Once you find the chord you are looking for, click on the image of the chord to enlarge it. Here are a few examples of how to use the chord library:

Example 1 | I Want To Find The Example Of The D Minor Barre Chord:

The finder will narrow down the chords to two types of D minor chords. One will be played from the 5th fret and the other from the 10th fret

Example 2 | I Want To Find All Types Of Minor 7 Open Chords:

Now, the finder will present you with all of the open minor 7 chords available in the library.

Example 3 | Sharp Or Flat Chords - # / b

There are no sharps or flats chords available at this stage, but there is a quick workaround. For example, if you want to find G# barre chords, you would search for the barre G chord, and then once you locate it, you would move it up one fret – so the G major chord played from the 3rd fret will be G# major when you move the whole shape to the 4th fret.

if you need help with the chords that you don't know, click on the submission link, fill up the form, and I will update the library with the chord that you have requested.

CHORD REQUEST SUBMISSION FORM

A Few Ways You Can Request A Chord For Listing In This Library:

    1. First String (The Thinnest One) – Fret Number – 0 (empty string)
    2. Second String – Fret Number – 1
    3. Third String – Fret Number – 2
    4. Fourth String – Fret Number – 2
    5. Fifth String – Fret Number – 0 (empty string)
    6. Sixth String – Fret Number – 0 (empty string)

That way, I can easily find the chord. In this case, that would be A minor :-)
